USS Nemo has introduced The Sizzilito, based upon the mojito — a conventional Cuban cocktail mixture of rum, lime, mint, and sugar topped with a bit club soda — with the addition of Red Bull for an additional energy boost. An ideal balance of sweet and tart, this cocktail requires a bit more labor than many mixed drinks since it involves first muddling the fresh mint, lime, and sugar together to release the flavors. The result’s a refreshing, fizzy, and mildly sweet rum cocktail. Nemo’s owner Stephane (Stefan) Plante suggests pairing the Sizzilito with the restaurant’s signature dish: Ultimate Miso Sea Bass served with truffle-lobster risotto, grilled asparagus, bok choy tempura, and USS Nemo’s secret citrus-ginger butter sauce. The restaurant is open from 11:30 a.m.-2 p.m. and 4:30-9:30 p.m. Monday to Friday and from 4:30-9:30 p.m. on Saturdays and Sundays. 3745 Tamiami Trail N., Naples; 239-261-6366; ussnemorestaurant.com/.
