Are the sharks, snook, and tarpon biting as the mullet are moving?

Snook fishing is currently a mixed bag, with some anglers having great success while others find it difficult. Sharks are feeding on mullet, while tarpon catches are increasing. The mullet run, which might enhance or hinder fishing, is all the time hard to predict. Florida fishing regulations vary for various species, with specific harvest and closure dates. Some notable regulations include a closure period for flounder from October fifteenth to November thirtieth and a closure period for hogfish from November 1st to April thirtieth. The FWC (Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission) might be meeting in Jensen Beach on October 4-5 to debate and finalize regulations for snook and stone crabs. In Indian River County, the mullet run is in full swing at Sebastian Inlet, attracting various predators equivalent to tarpon, sharks, jacks, and snook. Freshwater fishing in Headwaters Lake has been improving, especially with the usage of crankbaits, spinnerbaits, or swimbaits. In St. Lucie County, the mullet run can also be attracting snook, trout, jacks, and redfish along the west side of the lagoon. Nevertheless, sporty seas may hamper offshore fishing through the weekend. In Martin County, snook have been hit and miss, with mullet beginning to move downriver. Offshore, the Wickstrom Reef is holding greater amberjack and gag grouper. Lake Okeechobee has been offering good bass fishing within the western and northern parts of the lake, due to clear, algae-free water. Wild shiners and spinnerbaits have been effective for catching bass.
