New Legislation in Florida Introducing More Stringent Laws on Sports and Concert Streaking

Following a streak of streakers, Gov. Ron DeSantis and the Florida Legislature passed a bill cracking down on those interrupting sports and entertainment events.

That law takes effect Sunday. But what exactly does it do?

House Bill 319, which passed with bipartisan support, makes those intentionally entering restricted areas during such events, like the sector during a football game or a stage during a concert, a first-degree misdemeanor, punishable by as much as a 12 months in prison and a maximum wonderful of $2,500.
