Custodian Removes Jan. 6 Capitol Insurrectionist, Christopher Worrell

Trish Priller says she is not any longer convicted Jan. 6 insurrectionist Christopher Worrell’s court-appointed custodian. Worrell, of East Naples, was convicted in May for his role within the U.S. Capitol revolt on January 6, 2021. He was released in November 2021 with GPS monitoring and residential detention under the custody of Priller, his girlfriend and a former worker of The Naples Day by day News.

“I’m now not Chris Worrell’s third-party custodian,” Priller wrote in a text message to a Naples Day by day News reporter on Monday. “Please contact William Shipley, his lawyer, or the FBI for updates.”

4 days before Worrell’s sentencing on August 18, he absconded, removing his GPS monitoring and failing to speak with the court regarding his whereabouts. Greater than a month later, on September 28, authorities captured Worrell on the East Naples home he shared with Priller, where he was found unconscious.

More: East Naples ‘Proud Boy’ guilty in attack on Jan. 6 U.S. Capitol.

More: Convicted on Jan. 6 charges, recaptured Naples’ Christopher Worrell sentencing likely soon.

More: East Naples man involved in Jan. 6 revolt freed, living with GPS monitoring in SWFL.

Worrell, 52, was treated by first responders and brought to an undisclosed hospital under Collier County Sheriff’s authority, in response to spokeswoman Michelle Batten. He remained within the hospital as of Monday. Worrell is currently being held and awaiting transfer to Hillsborough County, with the local FBI office situated in Tampa.
