Hospital leader’s wife in Florida charged with assaulting nurses by kicking

Based on police reports, the wife of NCH’s top leader, Kristen Hiltz, 58, was arrested for battery after physically attacking two nurses within the NCH Baker Hospital on October 18th. The incident occurred around 11:15 p.m., when Hiltz kicked each nurses within the chest.

Violence against healthcare employees, particularly nurses and physicians in hospitals, has witnessed a big rise lately.

The nurses who were attacked intend to press charges, as stated within the police report. In response to the incident, Paul Hiltz, NCH’s president and CEO, expressed his sadness and stated that violence against healthcare colleagues is not going to be tolerated. He emphasized that the security of NCH teammates has all the time been his top priority.

Paul Hiltz also mentioned his concern for the 2 nurses directly affected by the incident, emphasizing that each NCH teammate deserves to be secure and secure. Last October, NCH displayed signs throughout their campuses stating that violence will not be an option and criminal charges can be pursued.

The injuries sustained by the victims

Naples Police notified the next day

In the course of the 2022 Legislative session, a bill was passed that expands criminal penalties to individuals who commit assault or battery on hospital personnel.
