Last week, I had the pleasure of attending a preview party on the Turtle Club in anticipation of their grand reopening on May sixth!

Roughly 19 months after hurricane Ian wreaked havoc on Vanderbilt Beach Resort, which houses the beloved Turtle Club, this iconic beachfront, advantageous dining restaurant with its breathtaking views of the gulf, spectacular sunsets, and prime cuisine, is back in the sport!

The dedicated owners and their loyal staff have worked so hard to come back back higher than ever, and each detail shows the love they put into it!

Their outdoor dining room, which sits directly on the white powdery sand, features brand recent furniture with beautiful blue oversized beach umbrellas to guard you from the sun when you enjoy your scrumptious meal.

In the comfy indoor dining room, which includes a small bar, several tables offer a glimpse of the surface, perfect for those super-hot or rainy days.

The entire community could be very enthusiastic about their return and desperate to visit them!

I even have heard stories from many individuals who hold dear memories made on the Turtle Club near the guts, comparable to engagements, birthday parties, and family reunions through the years.

General manager Curtis McCreary has worked there for greater than 18 years and knows entire families who’ve frequented The Turtle Club as regulars, so he’s excited to welcome them back.

Lunch shall be first come, first served, but dinner reservations are highly beneficial, as usual!

We tried:

• Famous Oysters “Turtlefeller”

• Baby Spinach, Applewood-Smoke Bacon, Cream & Parmesan

• Ceviche

• Marinated Shrimp & Bay Scallops, Citrus, Jalapeno

• Coconut Fried Shrimp — Coconut encrusted and Golden Fried, served with Crispy Fries, Cole Slaw, Traditional Cocktail Sauce, & Tangy Citrus Remoulade for dipping

• Deviled Farm Eggs

• Crispy Peppered Bacon, Sweet Bacon Jam, Micro Greens

• Vanilla Bean Creme Brulee — Smooth and Creamy Sweet Custard With A Candied Top, served with Whipped Cream and Fresh Seasonal Berries

They provide frozen libations, in addition to non-alcoholic and on-the-rock drinks, and a wide array of wine, beer and spirits!

I can’t wait to make more memories on the Turtle Club in the approaching years, especially at sunset! ¦
